نصائح لقياس ضغط الدم في المنزل    

أوصت مجلة "سنيورين راتغيبر" كبار السن، الذين يرغبون في قياس ضغط الدم بالمنزل، بتعلم الطريقة الصحيحة للقياس من أحد الأطباء أو الصيادلة نظراً لأن ارتكاب أية أخطاء صغيرة قد يؤدي إلى نتائج قياس خاطئة.

وإلى جانب تعلم الطريقة الصحيحة للقياس، توصي المجلة المعنية بصحة كبار السن بالاسترخاء قبل إجراء عملية القياس؛ حيث يفضل الجلوس قبلها بخمس دقائق.

كما ينبغي قبل إجراء عملية القياس بنصف ساعة تجنب الأسباب، التي تؤدي إلى ارتفاع ضغط الدم، مثل الحركة المجهدة والتوتر النفسي والضغط العصبي واحتساء القهوة.

ومن المهم أيضاً قياس معدلات ضغط الدم في نفس الوقت من اليوم، سواء صباحاً أو مساءً. وينبغي أيضاً إجراء عملية القياس قبل تعاطي الأدوية المعالجة لارتفاع ضغط الدم، مع مراعاة تدوين النتائج لإطلاع الطبيب عليها في المقابلة التالية.
