فقوله تعالى: (إِنَّ كَيْدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كَانَ ضَعِيفاً) [النساء:76] هو خاتمة الآية رقم 76 من سورة النساء المباركة،



وقد قال ابن عاشور في التحرير والتنوير: والمراد بكيد الشيطان تدبيره، وهو ما يظهر على أنصاره من الكيد للمسلمين،



والتدبير لتأليب الناس عليهم. وأكد الجملة بمؤكدين: (إن) و(كان) الزائدة الدالة على تقرير وصف الضعف لكيد الشيطان. 
وقال شيخ المفسرين ابن جرير: يعني بكيده: ما كاد به المؤمنين من تحزيبه أولياءه من الكفار بالله على رسوله وأوليائه أهل الإيمان به.
